Adicora kitesurf beach (Falcon, Venezuela)

Adicora is a small village with few tourist and a relaxed atmosphere on the Paraguana Peninsula that extends north of Venezuela mainland. Sandy beach with no rocks, no shells, lots of space for safe launch and landing. Some branches in the beach and in the water.

Directions:

Int'l airport, Josefa Camejo, and then car to the beach. 45 minute drive. Also there is a small airport strip, cemented, 200 mts from the beach, and then walk to the beach. Fly to Caracas, then Coro. Take a taxi (60km) to Adicora. Or fly to Aruba, then fly to Las Piedras(25 min.) Then a taxi to Adicora.

Beach rules:

lots of space. Best to launch from Adicora town beach jutting ou from main contour of the coastline to get a side-on launch.

Perfect all year round. Air temperature 32-36°C daytime, nighttime 26-28°C. Rainy season from October to November. Water temperature 28°C.

Wind details:

Everyday strong winds. In the morning not too strong, very good for practising. All year round, windy season January to May, possible 30+ knots winds, but usually 15-25 kts. December to June 25 knts average the rest 18 knts average sideonshore, perfectly steady. For a good forecast check the winds in Aruba and then add about 4 knts and that should be most of the times the wind in Adicora. Usually easterly trade winds. Since it is a point, many directions are sideshore.
