Lancing is a good kitesurfing spot with a big grass area where to set your kite, but not launch / land. It's a safe spot, just walk out far enough (about 300mt) from shore on low tide.

From Brighton seafront, head west for 20min along the coast, pass Shoreham (another good spot) and you will see a car park and a grass area.

3mm wetsuit in the summer, 5mm in spring and autumn. Surfing is all year round for those who don't mind the cold. The sea is up at 16°C in summer and down to 8°C in winter.

At high tide, not much space as there are many huts, groynes and obstruction. Pebbles at the top, but 2 hours after high tide nice flat and hard sand appears.
Always waves when there is wind. Big swell out the back and can be perfect 1m faces on the inside. Always the best waves with a SW wind.
