Directions:

Aptly named Surfdale, our little bay lies on the south side of Waiheke Island about three kilometres from Matiatia – that’s five minutes by car or bus from the ferry terminal on Waiheke, where the passenger ferry arrives from downtown Auckland. It leaves Auckland on the hour.

Buses meet and greet every ferry and are a reliable artery around the main areas, including Surfdale beach. Currently a return fare is $33.50 It’s a similar distance from Kennedy Point where the vehicle ferry arrives from Half Moon Bay, Pakuranga. A car and two people cost about $100 return. Each crossing is 35 and 50 minutes respectively.
