Wind details:

Being exposed to the breezy Gulf of Mexico the wind blows from S/SE an average of 4 kiteable (13-25 knots) for many months of the year. The S/SE are strongest during March-April as the land becomes very hot and creating thermals. We are famous for our Nortes (Northerlys) which go from Oct-March with winds from 20-40 knots.

On the water:

Water quality:

crystalline

Best tide:

no dependency

Waves:

big waves / tubes (>2.5m)

Consistency:

sometimes (21-60 days/yr)

Water details:

We pretty much always have waves. From 1 metre kickers to 4 metre surfers (big northerlys) and everything in between. The current either runs parallel to the beach or slightly onshore, we never have currents that go out to sea. We have regular downwinders for all levels of kiters and find some great kitesurfeable breaks on the way. When there is a northerly, we end up in a nearby lagoon with flats for those freestylers!

When is flat:

Day activities:

Several activities on and off site to keep you entertained in nearby resorts: quadbike surfing, massage, trampoline with kite bar, sea kayak, bodyboard, skimboard, football, TV room for sporting events or movies, horse riding

Offsite:
Tandem kayak tour in the mangroves, visit the archaeological site of El Tajin, White Water Rafting in the world famous Filobobos river.

Night scene:

Not much around. Parties going on in close by resorts. Many local restaurants from traditional seafood to fusion menus.
