Sakalava Bay - Madagascar Kite

The Sakalava Bay is a beautiful large shallow bay with white sand and crystal clear water at high tide. It looks like a big Polynesian lagoon closed by 3 big rocks, with a reef located at about 800 meters from the beach with some good waves breaking on it (1 to 2 meters high). The reef can be reached easily because of the sideshore wind conditions.

The wind wakes up at 10h A.M. to 5 P.M. Constant wind about 25 to 40knots. (the more often between 35 to 45 knts). Best season to go is from end of August to October.

Wonderful flat spot for freestylers at low tide. At high tide it's a real good spot for waveriders. Perfect to begin in the waves, perfect to progress.

Local riders are cool, but be careful with your pump, bar and bags: local population often "steal" and only bring back to you if you have some money...
Wonderful spot. Really cool.
