Bosa Marina beach is not a beginners spot to start and launch. The beach looks really nice, with soft sand and when the tide is low there's plenty of space, lots of parasols though. You can launch in the quiet area behind the sunbathers and then walk through them to the water. Launching from the water is not a good option because it gets deep fast.

FLYING:
Ryanair fly to Alghero (Fertillia) airport from Stanstead, and also from East Midlands and Liverpool at certain times of the year. It is also possible to fly to Alghero from many other European destinations. Click here to check Ryanair web site. Other carriers fly to Olbia which is a little further away.
For car hire we recommend Autoeurope who always seem to be the cheapest, but it is always worth checking out others. Book your car hire before you come to Sardinia, as it is expensive once you get here.
FERRIES:
There are daily ferries from Porto Torres to Genova (North Italy), there also ferries to and from Marseilles and Cittavecchia (Near Rome). This means that you can drive to Sardinia or take the train.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
There are generally good bus services but very limited trains. From Fertillia Airport it is possible to get a bus into Alghero, and then there are many buses on to Bosa. Trains are very limited going just to the main cities such as Sassari, Macomer, Cagliari etc.
