Zingst is an endless sandy beach with facilities and beach life in summrtime. The spot is great with all North winds. West-North-West is perfectly sideshore. Nice waves over the sandbar in enough North-East wind. There's a car-park behind the dunes good for camping.

From Rostock: drive towards Stralsund on B105. Before Ribnitz-Damgarten turn left on the L21 and follow to Darss and to Zingst. Best access west of Zingst with parking behind the dunes.

Summer is warm: with water temperature max 22°C and air between 20-30°C. A shorty is ok. Only a few weeks with just shorties is possible, but usually a wetsuit is always needed. Spring and fall around 15°C, water around 15°C. Winter gets cold, but a thick wetsuit, gloves, mask and shoes kiting is possible almost year-round.
