One of the few uncrowded and practicable spots during summer in Corsica. Porto Pollo is a tiny village right on the sea side, with a sandy beach, about 500m long. One mini-market, couple of campings, a pharmacy and few brasseries, other than a windsurf school. Ideal both for beginners and intermediates/advanced riders.

On the west-coast, 1 hour by car along the coast south of Ajaccio, just before Propriano.
You get to the beach from the small road just in front of the pharmacy, going along the camping up to the parking lot.

The beach is not too wide, but is rather long, allowing you for some nice donwinders.
Weather:
During summer 23-30°C, and water about 22°C as well. Shorty or even shorts are enough in summer. Besides summer a wetsuit is needed. Surfing all year is possible.

Wind details:
The dominant wind is Ponente, but also SW and NW. The Ponente can easily reach 25 knots and blow for more consecutive days. There is also a thermal component building up well, even if it adds some gusts.
