Safaga, located 60km south of Hurghada, is a popular place in Egypt for both windsurfing and kitesurfing.
Safaga hotels bay is located 4 km North of Safaga city. The beach is about 300m long and 30m wide. It's a perfect area for all windsurfing levels.
With wide beaches (Menaville) and more deep water with flat to choppy transparent water, the bay is good for beginners or advanced riders who would like to practice freestyle tricks.
Enjoy free-ride, speed or free-style. Beautiful clear water. No waves.
Some rocks in the water: better surf with shoes, and watch your legs.

Thermal wind effects (created by the mountains) are impressively consistent. The morning wind is slightly offshore and turns to side onshore in the afternoon. During the day, winds can increase by 1 to 2 forces. Expect more high wind days in summertime due to stronger high pressure. High mountain in Safaga are channelling and increase the wind. Winter wind tend to be more from the east, summer is more north easterly.
