Hurghada must be one of the best places to learn to kitesurf. There are three bays with the downwind one popular with windsurfers, leaving the two upwind ones with large shallow areas free for kitesurfers.
There is plenty of space to practice flying the kite, bodydragging and waterstarting in shallow areas. This extends far enough from the beach to allow 100m runs before getting into deeper water.

If you want to take a look at Egyptian culture and history, take the bus to Cairo and visit the Cheobs PyramidOther activities: quad-biking hundreds of miles into the Sahara desert for tea with a Bedoin tribe, then camel-riding across Biblical plains to see remote and ancient wonders; boat trips to the unpopulated Big and Little Gifton islands; swimming in the warmest and saltiest sea in the world (the Red Sea is more saline than even the Dead Sea); good shopping.
Night scene:
Great number of different restaurants, bazars, coffe shops, discos and bars.

Hurghada EL Gouna
on 12 November 2008 - 9:46pm
Was in El gouna 2 month ago. there are 3 kite beaches in mangroovebeach in el gouna. Crowded but got safty and people giving a helping hand. cost about 7 euros a day if you have you own stuff. The wind is quite smooth not gusty cause noting in the way like in magawish. So it suits me as a beginner. I got 3 good day of my week so Iam happy.
