Kite surfing Wellington Point Australia

Wellington Point is part of Brisbane. It is one of two main kitesurfing locations in Brisbane, the other place is Brighton. "Wello" is located on the southside of the river. Water details:

Perfect flat water conditions in all winds. Shallow area. Choppy with Southeast winds. A south easterly is best ridden on a mid to high tide - at low tide it is too shallow. Some guys ride the channel when it is like this, but the launch is sketchy as it is just upwind of the pier - it is actually very rare to see kiters out at low tide on a SE - most just go elsewhere. Booties are nice to have as there is a mixture of sand, mud and coral/shells in the water. The water is filthy but does not smell too much. Sharp rocks/shells so you will need booties.
