• Wind: summer season (December - March) is the best time to kite in Perth. During summer months the 'Fremantle Doctor' ( The Freo Doctor) consistently blows from the South-West along the southern half of the west coast, starting like a clockwork between noon and 3 pm, making ideal kitesurfing conditions.
• Weather: temperatures range from 42 °C in summer to 4 °C in winter time. Water is warm from November to March, but a rash shirt is needed to repair from the sun.
