Barra de São Miguel is a small beach village located 30 km southward from the capital of the state of Alagoas, Maceió. It has one of the best flat kite points in Brasil, especially during the low tide. There is plenty of open and secure area to go kiting.
The beach known as Praia das Conchas is the best place to go there. During the second half of the year, from october to February, NE and E winds hit that place, sometimes the NE wind reaches 35 to 40 knots. Although pretty strong, NE winds alternates with E and SE winds, within a time gap of 7 to 10 days.
