Kite Boarding in Nicaragua

I would like to see (SOON) a kite board school. I have had a few of my friends from Miami come with their equipment and its wonderful conditions here for the sport. WIND, we have lots of that.
I was abroad looking at equipment to import and form a school. You can imagine how I would like to sponcer a kite board race from San Juan del Sur (in the south) to Poneloya to the north on the lovely Pacific coast.
Traditional surfing is a big hit but Kite boarding will take over the water sport.
Water , Wind and FANTASTIC landscape we have more than we know what to do with.

Hi jorge I'm pretty keen to head over there in Jan/Feb how is the wind and waves then? I'm mainly a kiter but getting pretty keen on surfing too are the kite and surf spots the same places? I've a couple of mates keen on instructing or helping set up a school who'll be with me - both IKO certified (me too) so we should swap details and get something sorted if you are serious.

i am planing on coming to nica to kiteboard i love the thought of sanjuan to ponelyoa are he winds favorable in las penitas and ponelyoa side shore or offshore did you kite there?i am looking to gather Intel and make riding contacts down there.

hi am am going to be in nica in a couple months and am looking to meet riders and make contacts to travel and ride with in central America i love the thought of san juan to poneloya is the wind favorable for that and have u kited in poneloya?

You can ask around at just about any of the surf shops in San Juan del Sur and they'll point you to Jessica. She'll make sure you get up and won't give you too much shit if you suck.

Jessica is the quintessential surfer chick with all of the talent and experience to back up what she's doing. Jessica is starting a kitesurf school and my buddy and I had the pleasure of being her first clients. How awesome, right?
Well, we loved every minute of it, felt safe, and got up on the second day - an extension of the first lesson. Jessica is very precise and informative of the whole process. I recommend her.
