Salamansa is a very safe beach. It’s a big bay with lots of soft sand, with great mountain backdrop scenery. The shoreline bends so you start with cross-shore wind and in case things go wrong you end up on the beach. Adventure spot: it's likely you will be the only few persons kitesurfing or windsurfing here (at least for now - written March 2010). Nice waves further out in the bay.
