Holiday review with http://radicalkitesurf.com/
We booked without knowing much about the area – but after some research saw that it would probably be windy.
It was. Above all else the kitesurfing was exceptional. Flat water spots galore. Ankle to knee deep and then waist deep elsewhere. Lots of small coves and crystal clear water spots.

Lots of mudflat/sandbars to kite behind for the flat stuff. We could've kited 6 days out of 6. but on our final day had to give the hire car back so didnt have the time to wait for the wind to kick in.

Some days it was consistent wind throughout the day, building as the day went on. Others we had to wait til early to mid afternoon for the thermals to start. Plenty of time for a lie in.
Neil and Zoya were a superb hosts, making us BBQs on the beach, showing us the nice places to eat. And Taking loads and loads of pics and video.

We stayed in the villa – a couple of hundred metres from the sea front – 15 minutes walk into town. We went in the high season when the locals were on holiday. It was very much a Turkish village. Not many Europeans which retains some of the Turkish culture. But it was busy enough for the place to have some atmosphere of a holiday destination.
A hire car is essential if you want to take lots of gear – you could make do with a motorbike on your own but we went in a group of 4 and this made car hire reasonably priced. Its easiest to get to all the spots as the beach the villa is on wasn't kiteable when we were there due to the North Westerly winds. So the beaches need to be driven to. But thats normal in a lot of destinations. I would defintely go as a group and stay in his villa – Hotel accomodation is available if you're on your own or as a couple.

Days were spent waking up late, breakfast overlooking the sea on the Villa roof terrace, sorting out a sandwich or getting some meat for the BBQ, heading out to the beach kiting all afternoon, quick stop for a BBQ and kiting into the evening.

We didnt have any lessons, but Neil was excellent, giving out hints and tips when we needed them and offering advice.
A superb holiday, we're definitely going back. Kiting beaches no-one had ever kited before. In a stunning location. Definitely a worthwhile trip - and a helluva lot cheaper then Egypt or Fuerteventura.
Would definitely recommend going as a group - otherwise you'd be the only one out kiting the spot, sometimes its nice to share the stoke. I had an hour here or there just me out with others watching on the beach and it was superb, but it was nice to come in for some BBQ'd chicken wings already prepared!
Thanks to Neil and Zoya for being excellent hosts. and to thisisnatty, bartiebat and andypost for being excellent holiday companions!

Get out there. It was awesome. (Originally posted here by one of our guests)
