Just came back from Bali yesterday, the whole week was amazing except the incident with RIP CURL school of Surf located in Sanur Beach Hotel. It is a total SCAM!!!
My husband really wanted to try Kite Surfing , so went there and before we pay for the begineers course , which is $95 US for 2 hours per person ( quite expensive $$$), the owner was pretty cool and nice.
After we paid and had "classroom" lesson for an hour with "ZERO- enthusiasm" and attitude problems, he said there aren't any wind so we either come back in another time to finish the rest of the lesson or just "simply bad luck", plus it is 4 ish, almost time to close for them.
And in our sitution, we had other water sports planned for the next two days and then leave, so we either canel what we were suppose to do and come back or just forget about the $ paid.
So we made some arrangements, and came back the next door, and as said, it was almost closing time, (again, they close at 5), and ask us to come again tomorrow....WTF?! I can't cancel all my plans for this, so ask for a refund for the lesson that we didn't finish. The Owner's attitude was "NO, can't do it, talk to the hand" kind of thing, and just refuse to give refunds and blame on the weather. We aren't the only students that this happen to. There were another couple from Australia whom was leaving and just had to forfeit the lesson fee.
The main issue is that not only the owner wasn't helpful but his attitude was very unpleasant, and simply speaks " you losers, rippnig ur money off"... so my advice, DON"T GO THERE!!
