The house was built by 2 friends who kept coming back to Prea year after year, and couldn’t think of a better place to go on holiday, to get away from it all and to have guaranteed wind to kitesurf every day. It was finished in 2010 and is fully equipped for a relaxing holiday
It was designed by an architect who combined modern aesthetics with local techniques of ventilation and louvering, giving an overall effect of warm natural tones, surrounded by wood, and vast open space. The internal walls are adaptable for day and night use, and the wraparound balcony invites the residents out to sit in one of the many hammocks.
The house occupies a private stretch of beach just east of Prea, flanked by palm trees and sand dunes. The sense of quiet is breathtaking, interrupted only by the local donkey herd and the occasional fisherman’s motorbike. All the kite schools are downwind, leaving you with your own exclusive spot on your doorstep. beach house prea was built with kitesurfing in mind, with ample storage and a sheltered pumping and washing area just under the house.
Situated 3hrs drive from Fortaleza, it occupies a stretch of beach on Ceara’s coastline, where the donkeys outnumber human neighbours! The nearest major town is busy Jericoacoara, to fulfill all your desires for nightlife, shopping and restaurants. All travel once you reach the house is by buggy. Jeri is about half an hour away, and the small fishing village of Prea is around 5 minutes.
