About the founder & manager
Kiteatlas was founded and is currently managed by Marco Bauli, an IT professional and kiteboarder and surfer with more than a decade of experience with the web and marketing.
When i first imagined a Kiteboarding atlas 7 years ago, there was no guide about Kitesurfing destinations whatsoever, nor online or offline.
Inspired by a printed surfing guide, and coming from a web development background, i was thinking about how having an online publication, containing accurate information written by local kitesurfers and experienced riders could help the kiteboading community (few thousands of individuals at that time) find useful information about Kiteboarding destinations and inspiration for their next travels around the world.One year, and several thousands of development hours later, the first online guide to Kitesurfing Destinations and Holidays came to life.
Seven years later, the website has been refined and enriched, growing into a popular travel platform, but the spirit that makes it the most visited online Kiteboarding destinations guide is still and will always be the same: Kitesurfing, Inspiration and Travel.I hope you enjoy the website as much as i did developing it.

Kiteatlas ultimate goal is inspiring Kitesurfers with new exciting destinations and spots around the planet. Kite spots are submitted by local riders, Holidays, Courses and Travels can be booked directly from Kitesurf operators, thousands of passionate members can share their own experiences with the community and get in touch. It's a virtuous circle that helps promoting both Kite activities and our sport, while getting some fun doing it.
Registration for members is and will always be completely free. Operators can register and add their Company starting at free, and get further visibility for a reasonable yearly fee.
